Ask them to show you how theirs can do the work better, cheaper, faster. Pick one of your tough jobs you've done in MC9 and have a few vendors come in to demo theirs. So really you can look at a completely new system. They really have nothing in common now and you're going to pay for full seats. Given you're years behind, MC9 is nothing compared to MCX. MjsYou are in the enviable (or not) of looking at new software. What are some other good programming software packages? maybe we should look into switching or is mastercam still top of the line? what we use works, but im thinking we should try to keep up with the times, with things changing constently. ![]() how much has stuff changed since version 9 and would it be worth the money to upgrade. we are currently using mastercam 9 (hasn't been updated for 7-8 years probably) to program with and im just wondering if we should update our license so we can get the newer version. I work in a mold shop that mostly builds aluminium blow molds. ![]()
